How to check the authenticity of perfume? Pay attention to important details

Counterfeits are often created using questionable chemicals that may not be approved for use on the skin. Often, convinced by a bargain price, we make a purchase that we later regret because the scent turns out to be not as long-lasting as it should be. In this case, it is important to know the tips that will allow us to distinguish original fragrances from fake ones.

• Look at the price. If it is much lower than the original one, it is already a warning signal.
• Buy at the perfumery or on the official website. Brands have a list of official perfume distributors and no other entity can sell their products.
• Look carefully at the packaging. If the outer box is poorly wrapped, it may be a sign of a counterfeit perfume.
• Look carefully at the labels. If the label is poorly attached or crooked, it does not necessarily mean that it is a counterfeit perfume, but it should be taken into account.
• Look at the bottle carefully. It should be smooth and match the original design. If the dispenser tube is bent in the bottle or too long, it may be a sign of a fake perfume.
• Pay attention to the size of the bottle. Fake perfumes usually have a capacity of 90 ml.

If you spray a piece of paper with original perfume, the scent will last longer than 24 hours. In the case of fake perfumes, the scent will be undetectable within an hour, neither on paper nor on the skin.
