American actor Alec Baldwin was again charged with involuntary manslaughter for the fatal shooting on a movie set in 2021The Public Prosecution Service reported this on Friday.

Baldwin, van 65 yearshad already been accused a year ago of the death of its director of photography, who died while they were filming scenes from his film “Rust” in the state of New Mexico.

Baldwin, who always maintained that he never pulled the trigger on the gag revolver he was holding but that it exploded due to a mechanical malfunction, was acquitted of involuntary manslaughter charges in April 2023. However, in October, special prosecutors in the case announced they would ask a grand jury to consider whether the interpreter should face new criminal charges for what happened.

Prosecutors dismiss Alec Baldwin’s shooting charges in ‘Rust,’ but warn actor has not been acquitted

However, the Public Prosecution Service dropped the charges in April, arguing that they had indeed arisen “new facts that require more investigation and forensic analysis.”

Baldwin, an actor and producer of the cowboy film, was brandishing a Colt .45 pistol during rehearsals on Oct. 21, 2021, when a shot was fired, killing Hutchins and wounding director Joel Souza.

The incident shocked Hollywood and led to calls to ban firearms on sets.

Baldwin pleaded not guilty to the charges last year and has insisted in interviews that he did not fire the gun.
