January 19 will go down in the history of “Pytania na śnidanie” as the debut of a new pair of hosts. We could see Joanna Górska and Robert Stockinger on the screen for the first time. Konrad Kuźmiński from the Lower Silesian Animal Protection Inspectorate was among the duo’s guests.
About senior dogs in “Question for Breakfast”: They need real love in their last moments
Kuźmiński’s mission is to save animals. He appeared in the program to talk about those who need help and love the most – senior dogs. The breakfast guy’s words break hearts.
“These are dogs that will not live long. In these last moments, they need true love that they have never received in their lives,” says Kuźmiński with one of the dogs in his arms.
“This dog was dying in a cell, starving, with a skin disease” – a guest of the program, known on Instagram as Pan_od_zwierzat, pointed to one of the four-legged guests. “She was starving too,” he said of another dog. “This one – abandoned by the family,” he listed. “All these dogs were rescued from their torturers, they are not homeless animals, they were taken away because their owners reduced them to a pre-mortal condition,” he added.
Konrad Kuźmiński from DIOZ talked about adopting senior dogs: It’s a great responsibility
Kuźmiński emphasizes that the chances of adoption in the case of old animals are very small. “Senior animals really only need a piece of space and love” – emphasized the guest of “Pytania na breakfast”. At the same time, important words were said in the studio regarding the doubts of potential pet owners. Kuźmiński explained that senior dogs get used to their new surroundings very quickly and are very calm, debunking a popular and harmful myth.
However, the “Questions for Breakfast” guest emphasized that adopting a senior dog is a very responsible step. Animals that have been through a lot (like no other animals) do not deserve to be let down by a person they have trusted again. Kuźmiński emphasizes that if we want to help an older pet, we must remember not only that it will soon leave us, which will involve pain. You also need to take into account your financial capabilities.
Older dogs are often already sick and need to be provided with medications and special care. Additionally, aged pets are more likely to develop diseases, including cancer, which are associated with significant costs. Kuźmiński, however, assures that senior dogs can repay the care with incomparable devotion and canine love.
