Now Alicja Pieczka has revealed that she plans to devote her debut feature to him.

On January 18, 2024, Franciszek Pieczka would have celebrated his 96th birthday. His relatives decided to celebrate this special date, although, as the actor’s granddaughter argued in an interview with , they remember him every day. – We remember our grandfather every day, especially on his birthday – said Alicja Pieczka. She added that its celebration coincided with the results of the festival, in which the short film “Shame” competed for one of the awards. This production is the last in the rich output of the legendary artist. – A film called “Shame”, in which I was the production manager, won the audience award at the Kick off festival in Warsaw and now we continue to send our work to other festivals. This is a great gift for his birthday, she said.

It turns out that Pieczka’s granddaughter partially followed in his footsteps. Alicja Pieczka studies production at the Warsaw Film School and is currently preparing to defend her bachelor’s thesis, which she devoted entirely to her legendary grandfather. At the same time, she revealed that if her idea meets with the approval of her lecturers, she intends to do everything to make a feature film based on it. – I managed to reach an agreement with one production house to be the creative producer of this project and, of course, if I defend this idea at the university, from November we will start pushing this idea to the Polish Film Institute to get funding for writing the script and then for production – she revealed. . Further plans and details of this project are still shrouded in mystery.
