Is TV Republika as popular as the results suggest? “This is a massacre” [SONDA]

Since the change of power in the public media, many people’s eyes have been focused on TV Republika. Although the station has always been known for right-wing tendencies, until TVP Info broadcast the so-called good change, TV Republika did not have good viewership results. Now, when the political mood is still very hot, and the biggest stars of the former TVP, such as Danuta Holecka, have joined the station, the channel’s popularity has exceeded our wildest expectations.

“Some viewers are attached to people who spread propaganda on TVP”

We decided to go to the center of Warsaw with a camera and ask passers-by whether they had heard about this station, and if so, whether they would like to see it. One of the people we met was an elderly woman from Skierniewice, who admitted that she had heard about the canal, but did not have access to it, so she had not had the opportunity to get to know it. In turn, a middle-aged man admitted that he had the (dis)pleasure of watching the station:

I only watched Republika when I was at my in-laws’ house, where there is… PiS. So I was forced.

Another interviewee openly admitted that he does not watch TV Republika, but called the station a “massacre.” – I saw the last few, so to speak, clippings… I don’t watch it at all, but what I saw was a hit – he said, slightly amused. However, when asked about the future of the station, he said that it would maintain its popularity, but up to a certain point. – I think that eventually someone will deal with them – he added.

A middle-aged woman I met had a different opinion about the station’s continued “good run”. – It seems to me that the PiS electorate is so specific and specific that once it gets to TV Republika, it will stay there. This is probably their “last bastion”, so they will remain faithful. I think so. I hope I’m wrong. I hope people come to their senses, she commented.
