Wednesday was an exceptionally exciting day in Polish politics. A vote was held in the Sejm on the dismissal of the Deputy Speaker of the Sejm, Krzysztof Bosak, and Grzegorz Braun’s immunity was lifted. Politicians also debated the vote of no confidence in Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz, the current Minister of Culture and National Heritage. Donald Tusk also appeared at the podium and delivered an almost half-hour speech.
TV Republika interrupted the coverage of the Sejm during Donald Tusk’s speech
“You can be sure that even in the PiS camp, including the highest state officials, people are ashamed of what happened in the public media and have reason to be ashamed of the fact that they never said out loud what was happening there,” said Donald Tusk.
Later he mentioned “propaganda officers”, and the report from the Sejm hall was cut short. Two windows were displayed on the screen, in one the presenter of the “special edition” appeared, while in the other one could still watch the Prime Minister silently gesticulating.
“The debate on the motion of no confidence in Minister Sienkiewicz is ongoing in the Sejm, but 3 p.m., the hour of Divine Mercy, is approaching. As usual, we have been broadcasting the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for years,” the moderator said. After a few seconds, a live report from the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Kraków-Łagiewniki was displayed on the screen.
A fragment of the program was recorded and then published on the X website by one of the users. You can see the video below.
