Krzysztof Brejza from the Civic Coalition asked Telewizja Polska to provide public information regarding the remuneration paid to former TVP commentators. In response, he received not only a list of people who received such remuneration, but also learned how much they were entitled to for providing a single opinion. The content of the message was shared on the website X.

“This system allowed for one-off benefits and also regulated cooperation within a wider range of contracts,” we read in the information provided to the KO politician. Further in the letter, the Public Information Team provided the amount of remuneration paid to TVP commentators. It turns out that for a single performance such a person could count on a salary of PLN 500. In turn, in the case of long-term cooperation, the largest remuneration paid to the commentator in 2023 was PLN 298,890.
The list of people who received wages for their comments included: Jacek Karnowski, editor-in-chief of the weekly “Sieci”, Adrian Stankowski, editor-in-chief of the portal gpcodziennie.pl, Jerzy Jachowicz, journalist from “Gazeta Polska Dzień”, as well as Elżbieta Królikowski- Avis, Piotr Grzybowski, Paweł Piekarczyk, Miłosz Manasterski, Marek Formela, Karol Gac, Jacek Wrona, Maciej Gnatowski, Anna Derewienko, Marian Kowalski, Jan Pietrzak and Piotr Nisztor. The mentioned remuneration system for commentators appearing on TVP operated until December 20, 2023.
