However, the daughter decided to modernize the dress, altering it to her own taste, to surprise her mother.
Sydney decided to significantly modernize it. She shortened it to knee-length, but otherwise kept it as it was. However, she removed most of the embroidery and decorations, and also decided to completely change the sleeves to ones made of transparent fabric. The dress became light and romantic. She added lace and embroidery from the previous model at the bottom of the new design and on the sleeves.
