In the program, a dozen or so women and men go on dates, spending time in cabins specially prepared by the creators. They spend 10 days talking to different people, making friends without physical contact. Then – despite not knowing what the person on the other side of the wall looks like – the engagement takes place. And after four weeks, standing on the wedding carpet, they say “yes” or “no”. One of the participants is Karolina from Poland. She was involved in a threesome in the program with 30-year-old Lucas and 34-year-old Emilia. – When I love with all my heart, I really give it my all, said the 31-year-old at the beginning of “Love is Blind”. – I want to feel this passion. For me, intimacy is really important. If it’s missing, it probably won’t work – added the remuneration specialist before entering the first cabin.
Her first statement on a date with the director of the power plant, which was shown by the creators of the program, concerned dirty talk in a relationship. To Lucas’ statement that the woman felt very comfortable talking about sex, Karolina said:
I’m open minded about everything in life.
On the last date, when Karolina was already fully aware that her favorite had feelings for another woman, she decided to take a risk and – persuaded by her friend – “go for it”. Lucas found a present in his cabin. With Karolina on the other side of the wall, he opened it and read the letter in which she confessed her feelings. She wrote, among other things, that he was the first man she thought about having children with him after moving to Sweden. She also gave him black lace panties. – Should I take it out? – asked Lucas. When he got permission, he started laughing. Holding the thong in his hands, he said: Nice! Children shouldn’t watch this.
Unfortunately, this date ended with Karolina crying. Lucas admitted that he wanted to continue his relationship with Emilia because this bond is stronger. After the meeting, in a statement in front of the camera, he appreciated the Polish woman’s gesture. “It’s incredibly impressive and brave,” Lucas said.
Will there be a fiancée exchange? It wouldn’t be the first time this has happened
Lucas proposed to Emilia, believing that their relationship was deeper than his and Karolina’s. However, after the fiancée met, he decided that he did not feel physical attraction. The couple in the fourth episode is together for now, but will it stay that way until the end?
The Swedish version launched on Netflix on January 12, and is hosted by Jessica Almenas, a TV presenter and reporter who covers horse racing at one of the TV stations, and in 2008-2016 hosted “Let’s Dance”, in which celebrities danced. There are currently four episodes of the Swedish “Love is Blind” available. The next four will be available from January 19, and those where weddings take place on January 26.
However, it seems that this was not the last time we see Karolina on the screen. The woman appears in the announcement of subsequent episodes. He’s obviously talking to Lucas. We don’t know what will happen, but it could be anything. We even have an example from the American version of the program, in which the participant changed fiancées.
In the fourth season, Zack Goytowski in the cabins decided to propose to Irina Solomonova. After they spent some time together, he decided to break off the engagement. After returning from the trip organized by the producers, he spoke to the participant with whom he also “bonded”. Bliss Poureetezadi decided to give him a chance and in the last episode they stood at the altar. They have been married since May 2022, and last November they announced that they were expecting a child.
