The members of the “Cabaret of Moral Anxiety” start with a not-so-funny joke about stomach problems, and then move on to the topic of the war in Ukraine. Here they decided to “joke” about the victims… “And which ones die more, ours or theirs?” – asks the “president”. “Ours, but Mr. President, you know how it is: before the fat man loses weight, the fat man will die. Like Kamiński and Wąsik.”
Robert Górski about Wąsik and Kamiński
Then, Borkowski’s character informs “Putin” that Poland has “its first political prisoners.” “What kind of hard labor is there? Everything is fake there,” comments the “minister” when asked about the conditions in which Wąski and Kamiński are locked up. “They have no shame!” – he adds, after comparisons with and are made.
Cabaret artists bluntly evaluate the attitude of President Andrzej Duda. “And he is a fake, and his pardon was also fake. Everyone doesn’t care about him,” says the “Minister of Defense.” Then “Putin” asks: “What is going on in Poland anyway?”, to which his interlocutor replies:
Everything is happening there at once. Everything is duplicated: courts, television presidents, legal systems… They annul their marriages, which the Pope had previously blessed them with.
“Putin” changes plans
“And how’s the guy with the fire extinguisher doing?” “Putin” also asked and told me to greet him. Although Grzegorz Braun’s name is not mentioned, it is obvious. The “President” also asks about “Donald”, but in response he hears that “you should ask the Germans, because he seems to be more like them.” And when the conversation comes to an end, “Putin” informs his “minister of defense” that he is changing plans for military action (earlier they discuss the issue of attacking Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia after Ukraine):
First Poland, then Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. We will have to install new authorities there… Or we can leave the ones that are there.
“Well, unfortunately, a bit funny, very scary…”, “Good times have come for cabarets. No one can come up with scenarios like real life. And now there’s cabaret in Polish politics. The job does itself”, “The ending is terrifying, but on point” , “When cabarets don’t make you laugh, not because they are bad, but because they reflect reality so well…” – these are just some of the comments under the video.
