However, the journalist also suffered from another illness that took her to the operating room for brain surgery. Saralegui presented ataxiaa disease in which water accumulates in the brain.
According to the Mayo Clinic, ataxia “consists of poor muscle control that causes clumsy voluntary movements. It can cause difficulty with walking and balance, hand coordination, speech and swallowing, and eye movement.”
But that is not the only health problem that the famous 75-year-old presenter faced. He also suffers from a “rare” type of osteoarthritis, for which he is undergoing experimental treatment, he said in an interview with People en Español.

“I have a form of arthritis that is very rare. It is genetic and rare. They give me a new experimental drug which is an injection in the leg and Marco (her husband) gives it to me; They gave me that injection for two years and it helped me a lot,” he admitted to the magazine when he was just 73 years old. He will turn 76 next January 29.
