Daniel Jaroszek, winner of the Audience Award at the Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdynia and four Eagles for his feature-length debut “Johnny”, directed the six-episode “Forsta” for Netflix with Szyc in the title role. Wiktor Forst is trying to solve the mystery of brutal murders in the Tatra Mountains, so it’s no wonder that the bodies of the victims appear on the screen. One of the corpses was “played” by the author of books about Forst.
Remigiusz Mróz starred in the Netflix series. “Frost jumps out of the fridge”
“Thank you for all the kind words about my role in Forst. Although the producers may have taken all the opinions about Mróz jumping out of the fridge too literally,” Mróz joked, sharing a photo from the production set online. In the photo, he lies on a crematorium table, and makeup specialists do everything in their power to make him look dead.
Either way, I gave it my all and I don’t think it could have been played any stiffer
– added Mróz.
Next to him, on the screen, with a “slightly” greater exposure, appear, among others: Zuzanna Saporznikow in the role of journalist Olga Szrebska, Kamilla Baar as the tenacious prosecutor Dominika Wadryś-Hansen and Andrzej Bienias as Zakopane police inspector Edmund Osica.
What is “Forst” about?
“When the Tatra Mountains become the arena of brutal murders, Commissioner Forst steps into action. Going against the procedures, with the help of journalist Olga Szrebska, he discovers a conspiracy with roots dating back to World War II” – this is the official description of the production. The script, written by Agata Malesińska and Jacek Markiewicz, focuses on threads from the first two volumes of the series. So far, Mróz has released eight parts:

Last year, Mróz was – once again – in first place in the National Library’s report. According to the Wprost ranking, he could earn over PLN 3 million in 2022 from selling his books. This gives him the title of the highest-earning author in Poland.
