Ryszard Herba, Stefan Rolecki from the series “Pawnshop. Life under pledge”, has died. The sad news was shared on the production’s Facebook page. “We have received sad news about the death of an amazing man, Ryszard Herba. He created one of the iconic roles in Lombard, the role of Stefan Rolecki. It is with great regret that we say goodbye to Ryszard, and we express our condolences to his loved ones and share their pain. We will remember you,” we read in statement.

The actor died on January 9 at the age of 67, the cause of death was not announced. He was interested in the stage since childhood, he started attending classes at the Kalambur theater in Wrocław at an early age, then he started studies at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music, but eventually he graduated from the branch of the Academy of Theater Arts. Stanisław Wyspiański in Krakow. In the years 1997-2024 he was a member of the artistic team of the Polish Theater in Wrocław.
His theatrical roles are mentioned by the Municipal and Municipal Cultural Center in Jelcz-Laskowice. “On the Jelcz stage he played, among others, the role of Sasha in the play ‘Antigone in New York’ directed by Robert Gonera and the role of Brujo in the musical ‘The Storm Rider’ directed by Cezary Studniak.”
Ryszard Herba also played episodic roles in Polish films and series for years. He could be seen, among others, in “First Love”, “Crime Wave”, “Policewomen and Cops”, as well as in “Pokot” and “Deep Water”. He could also often be seen in school etudes.
