What to do to avoid clogged pipes after frying the carp? Dispose of the oil this way

For more home remedies and useful tricks, see

Removing used oil from a pan is still a problem for many people. Unfortunately, most people are unaware that the spray is doing something wrong and automatically pours the oil or into the toilet. This is a big mistake that can cause a lot of damage, because the fat does not dissolve in water and is poured into the sewage system, it settles on the walls of the pipes and creates blockages.

What to do with used oil? Under no circumstances should you pour it down the sink

Ahead of us is Christmas cooking, during which many people will fry not only carp. Therefore, it is worth knowing, thanks to which we can quickly and easily remove used fat. If there is little left in the pan, simply wipe the pan thoroughly with a paper towel and dispose of it in the mixed waste bin. If, on the other hand, you use more oil, you can collect it in a bottle (e.g. after the previous oil), and when it is full, give it to PSZOK, i.e. the Municipal Waste Selective Collection Point, which is present in every Polish municipality.

The third way to get rid of the used fat is composting. Used oil is biodegradable waste. However, it should not be simply poured onto the compost in large amounts every now and then, as this can contaminate the soil and groundwater. A much better solution is to pour the oil into e.g. sawdust or let it soak in napkins / cartons, which can then be thrown onto the compost.
