However, there are cases when a real treasure falls into our hands by a complete accident, when we least expect it, and we don’t expect it at all. Randy Guijarro’s story is a perfect example of this.
He went to a garage sale. He bought an ordinary box with old photos
It has long been known that antique stores, garage sales or flea markets can hide items worth a fortune. But, you either have to be an excellent expert on the subject, or you have to be exceptionally lucky. When Randy arrived at the garage sale, he had no treasure in mind at all. A box of black and white photos caught his attention. Nothing special, just some ordinary old memories of people that neither Randy nor any of his friends knew, or at least that’s what it seemed at first glance. One thing was certain, the photos were certainly very old, as evidenced by their condition, color and composition.
He was looking through the photos, and it turned out that one of the faces seemed strangely familiar to him
After returning home, the man was proud of his purchase. The box seemed unique, it definitely couldn’t be bought in any popular store. He started looking through the photos. He wondered what story they might tell. At one point he realized that he knew one of the faces very well in the photo.
This face belonged to Billy the Kid, known as one of the most famous outlaws of the Old West. Billy the Kid, or more officially William H. Bonney, was shot to death in 1881, at the age of only 23, after running from justice his entire life.
