From January 4, Juan Antonio Bayona’s film “The Snow Society”, an intense story about a plane crash that happened in the Andes in 1972, is available on Netflix.
The story is based on the tragedy experienced by the Uruguayan rugby team when the Air Force plane transporting them to Chile crashed, and the survivors were missing for 72 days.

From this tragedy, only 16 people managed to return home and due to a combination of circumstances, they were forced to eat human flesh as a method of survival.
Hence the name of the dramatic film that reflects the pact that existed in the mountains and the fact that Bayona tries to adhere to the reality experienced by the true protagonists of the tragedy, relying even on real images taken before that fateful day, like the Blu Radio revue.
And Bayona not only based it on Pablo Vierci’s book of the same name, but also focused on the entire investigative work to recreate scenes from photographic records obtained before and after the accident.
That is why scenes with great similarity can be seen in “Snow Company”, such as the picture of 40 passengers and five crew members at the airport before departure or the portrait of the players on the plane.

Other more impressive pictures were those taken by Ron Harley and Tintín Vizintín, as assessed by Infobae, after an accident in which they faced low temperatures, thirst and hunger that led them to resort to anthopophagy (cannibalism), as mentioned by the station Meri from As.
