TV Republika is a Polish right-wing news station. It started in 2013, but only ten years later it gained huge popularity, when, as a result of changes in the public media, TVP Info stopped broadcasting. Viewers who liked the sensational way of presenting the news quickly moved to TV Republika, which can be watched for free on the Internet.

One of the first employees of the former TVP Info who moved to TV Republika was Michał Rachoń. He also hosts his program “#Jedziemy” there, but he also became the station’s program director. Apart from him, at the end of December, Danuta Holecka, who for the last eight years has been the face of TVP’s propaganda “Wiadomości”, appeared on the air.
Many people might think that the news daily “Dzisiaj” was created when the former star of the so-called national media. However, it turns out that “real Polish news” has been on the air since at least 2015. .
In recent days, in addition to Holecka, viewers of TV Republika can also see Jacek Sobala as the host of “real Polish news”. He is a 63-year-old Polish actor, radio and television journalist, who became particularly famous in 2006, when he took over the position of head of Polish Radio Bis – the then radio station of Polish Radio for young people. He quickly deleted his own programs, which was met with great criticism from the editorial staff. In response, he posted the phrase “Sorry, homies” on the station’s website.
A year later, however, he left his job as the manager of “Biska” and became the head of Radio One. In the same year, he also received his own program “Jacek Sobala invites”, which was shown by TVP Info. However, at the end of 2009, he changed the station again because he became the new director of Radio Trójka. However, he remained in this position for the shortest time, as he was dismissed from this position on May 26, 2010.

He returned to the public media when the so-called good change. On March 9, 2017, he was elected president of the management board of Polskie Radio, replacing Barbara Stanisławczyk-Żyła, who was the first president of the company appointed by the United Right government. He stayed in this position for just over a year. In August 2018, he was suspended from his duties as president by the management board, and a few days later he was dismissed.
Since 2019, he has been an employee of TV Republika, where he hosts his own journalistic program “Saying…”, during which you can call the studio. There has also been a lot of controversy surrounding this program recently. On Republika, Sobala said words towards Donald Tusk that were perceived by some as a threat:
You know what, Tusk? You start looking behind you, because, in my opinion, this justice is already coming for you – Sobala thundered
He became the host of the news daily “Dzisiaj” in September 2023. In addition to him and the previously mentioned Danuta Holecka, we can also see Piotr Kieraga and Magdalena Bałkowiec as hosts of “real Polish news”. The program lasts about twenty minutes and is broadcast every day at 7:00 p.m., the time of “Fakty” broadcast by TVN.
