The Jeffrey Epstein case is burning and spreading with the revelation of a list of names in the millionaire’s circle of friends, which includes several celebrities, including Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks.

The documents incriminating Epstein were unsealed thanks to an order from federal district judge Loretta Preska amid a 2015 sexual assault lawsuit filed by one of the victims, Virginia Giuffre.

Why Leonardo DiCaprio’s name appears on Jeffrey Epstein’s list

According to Cinefilos, the name of the protagonist of “The Returner” and “The Wolf of Wall Street” appears among the exposed evidence because Jeffrey Epstein mentioned him at some point, as happened with Cameron Díaz or Bruce Willis.

However, the publication clarifies that the actor never had contact with Epstein and did not meet him as the millionaire assumed, the aforementioned media reported, while other famous people from the list attended the magnate’s parties.

With publication Jeffrey Epstein’s listseveral Hollywood actors have been exposed in the controversial case of a child trafficking network run by a businessman and his partner Ghislaine Maxwell.

Michael Jackson, David Copperfield and Stephen Hawking appear as some of the people who would be involved in parties or dinners with Epstein. But there are others like Oprah Winfrey and Tom Hanks who have come forward for the simple fact that Jeffrey Epstein said their names.

Even without any connection to the controversial case, Winfrey and Hanks were quick to respond after their names went viral on social media. Both were forced to deactivate comments on their Instagram accounts, according to La Nación.

This was a measure to counter criticism and avoid insults, although it also censors the messages of support I may receive.

The opposite has happened with DiCaprio, who seems to downplay the fact and has not restricted his 62 million IG followers from commenting on his posts.

Despite the confusion that the publication of these names may cause, it does not mean that the celebrities or politicians mentioned in it are directly connected to the crimes in which Jeffrey Epstein, who died in August 2019, was involved. (AND)
