The universe of ‘Game of Thrones’ It’s not even close to being finished, because its creator, George R. R. Martin continues to design medieval fantasy stories that are prequels or sequels to the original story.

For this reason, there is already a project in development that will excite most fans of the famous series. At least it’s about two animated serieswhose events take place after the story of Song of ice and firebook on which the delivery of The House of the Dragon.

Like that prequel, which premiered in 2022, these new series would also be produced by the author and released in HBOMax.

“It just happens that way HBO and I have our own animation projectswhich takes place in the world of Song of Ice and Fire”, Martin wrote in his web portal.

He pointed that out None of the projects have been given the green light have yet to start production, but they will take the next step soon to find out if it will launch or if the ideas will be archived.

The author also said that he worked on other projects in the past, but two of the original ideas were ultimately shelved.

Nine trips

For the time being, Martin would devote himself to the production of Nine tripsanother animated series about the adventures of Corlys Velaryonknown as Sea Serpent.

Corlys Velaryon is married to Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, but the series shows him as a young man, when he explored the seas and filled himself with gold, turning his house into the richest of the Seven Kingdoms.

It would be nine trips live action, but ultimately opted for animation.

“Budget constraints would likely have made a live-action version unaffordable, at half the cost Show what goes on at sea and the need to create a different port every week, from Driftmark to Lys, the Basilisk Islands, Volantis, Qarth and… well, again and again,” explains George RR Martin.
