The picture of a sad Keanu Reeves has been the subject of jokes for years. Now it explains how it came into being

Keanu Reeves is a real favorite of viewers and the Internet community: the actor is famous for leading a surprisingly normal life for a Hollywood star. He uses his multi-million dollar salaries to support charities or to make films that might not otherwise have been made. Besides, instead of in a large villa, he lives in an ordinary apartment and uses public transport, so there are many photos of him taken in various and very ordinary situations on the Internet. One of the more popular ones is the one where he sits on a bench with his head down – has been used as an internet meme for years.

Reeves visited Stephen Colbert’s show to promote the fourth film in the series. The host, however, did not stop with questions about this production. As it turns out, Keanu Reeves is a man of many talents and he also writes scripts for a comic book entitled “BRZRKR” illustrated by Ron Garney. The first of the planned 12 parts has recently been released on the market. Colbert’s attention was noticed by the fact that an illustration was woven into the story, in which the main character is sitting in an almost identical pose as Reeves in the famous picture – so he asked the actor if this was an intentional act.

Keanu Reeves admitted that he did not know that such an illustration was to appear in the comic, but he did say a little more about the memorable photo:

Man, I was just eating a sandwich! I was not sad but thoughtful, I was reflecting on the things that were happening then. I was hungry.

He also explained that in the selected picture we can see the moment when the main character is waiting for the results of the research carried out by the US government. He is the demigod Berserker, who, as a result of a curse for centuries, sows constant destruction and violence, also seems immortal and cannot find peace.

With help, an unexpected proposal from the American government: in return for him to fight fights for them that no one else will be able to survive, he will be thoroughly researched, thanks to which he will learn the truth about who or what he really is and how to finally end This is a long chain of torment. Let’s add that Netflix has already bought the rights to this comic and plans to make a film based on it, in which Keanu Reeves will play the main role.
