Changes at TVP, former employees move to another station
In December last year, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz, appointed Tomasz Sygut as the president of TVP. Since then, “Wiadomości” has replaced the “19.30” program, and there has been a significant staff change. A sit-in protest is underway at the headquarters of the Television Information Agency by former television employees, who are opposing the changes in public media introduced by Donald Tusk’s government. They are led by, among others, Michał Adamczyk.
Some former TVP employees associated with content promoting Law and Justice moved to TV Republika. Danuta Holecka hosts an information program, and Michał Rachoń transferred his program practically 1:1 from TVP Info. One of the most controversial employees of TVP Info – Miłosz Kłeczek, who was often accused of bias, also found work in Tomasz Sakiewicz’s channel.
