After this debut, a discussion broke out on social media regarding the presenter’s appearance, and more specifically, the tattoos visible on her neck and hands.
And although we live in the 21st century and the awareness that appearance should not be a factor predisposing one to perform a job, especially one in which content, skills and professional experience are important, this topic is still widely commented on in the public space. While browsing social media, I did not even expect that the flowers visible on the journalist’s neck would become a serious subject of dispute. And yet, Internet users commented on how long and wide Poland is.

The biggest storm broke out under the post of Karolina Opolska herself. The journalist announced her television debut on the X website. In the comments you can see both positive response from Internet users and criticism. Here, unfortunately, mainly because of the appearance.
A positive response to the employment of Karolina Opolska can be seen among Internet users who follow the Facebook profile “I am in favor of accepting tattoos in the workplace”. The post collected nearly 10,000 reactions. The comments read: “Tattoos are an addition. Competences, skills, education and knowledge are the basis of a person’s personality and values” and “After all, the world is moving forward.”
Before Karolina Opolska became the host of TVP Info, she cooperated with, among others, the editorial staff of TOK FM and Onet. She also continues to prepare materials for the Sekielski brothers’ YouTube channel “Studio Wyborcze” and cooperates with the Natemat.pl editorial office, where her podcast about a serial killer from Pomerania was recently published. After leaving Onet, Karolina Opolska also started working at the Department of Journalism and New Media at Collegium Civitas, where she became deputy head.
