Brawl on TVN24. It was about the public media: “Please be quiet, children are watching!”

A tense atmosphere prevailed during Wednesday’s episode of “Kropka nad i” on TVN24. The politicians invited to the studio could not reach an agreement, and the conflict was growing minute by minute.

On Wednesday evening, Katarzyna Lubnauer from the Civic Coalition and Kamil Bortniczuk from Law and Justice visited us. It was clear to the naked eye that the guests did not particularly like each other, although at the beginning there was no indication that the discussion between the politicians would turn into such a serious conflict.

The atmosphere thickened only when Kamil Bortniczuk mentioned the Minister of Culture BartÅ‚omiej Sienkiewicz. “I would really like the free media to notice in Poland how the constitution is being violated by Minister BartÅ‚omiej Sienkiewicz,” the politician exhorted, while ignoring questions about the salaries of Telewizja Polska employees.

“I have the impression that Adamczyk’s high salary is exactly what the president thinks about the role of the media. They are paid to defend indefensible things,” said Katarzyna Lubnauer, but the PiS politician did not let her finish. “But we are not talking about the quality of public media,” argued Kamil Bortniczuk, which in turn upset the KO MP. “Can you stop this man from talking when I’m talking?” – she asked the host of the program, Monika Olejnik. “Please be quiet, the children are watching,” the PiS MP interjected. Then Monika Olejnik spoke up: “The children looked at Kozakiewicz’s gesture, and now they hear from the Minister of Sports that it is a normal gesture.” Later, Katarzyna Lubnauer again asked the second guest to respect the culture of speech.
