During the conversation, he also referred to numerous speculations that he was now planning to focus on his career abroad. He admitted that although he regularly receives invitations to castings and job offers, he is not interested in them yet, although he admits that it is quite an honor. – This is something extremely important for every actor, because you cross the boundaries of your own language (…). At the same time, he admitted that when foreign directors started to notice him a few years ago and offered him roles, he did not feel ready to try his hand at English-language productions. The reason was, of course, the language barrier, which I have been working on since then. – At the time of the premiere of “Gods”, my English was at an outrageously low level. And when the film turned out to be a great success, someone kept asking me: “So what? A career abroad?” and I said: “I don’t think about it at all, because I don’t have the predispositions to do it,” he said honestly.
Is the door to Hollywood open to him? Tomasz Kot has a completely different perspective
Many wonder whether, in the face of so much success on screen, the actor plans a career in Hollywood. It turns out that he has a specific position on this and there is no indication that this will change in the near future. – I won’t, because this is a very specific world. And it’s not like they’re waiting there for Poles, they’re waiting for the rest of the world, he explained. At the same time, he revealed that he once faced a dilemma whether to choose an episode in a foreign production or a major role in domestic cinema. Ultimately, he chose the latter and today he does not regret this choice. – It was symbolic for me – he emphasized. – This makes absolutely no sense to me, because the essence of my reality is this great film adventure, meeting people – he said eloquently.
