Disney lost the rights to the image of Mickey Mouse in his short film ‘Steamboat Willie’, on January 1, 2024. The same day a trailer has been released of a horror movie featuring a serial killer dressed as the iconic animated character.

The trailer shows a group of friends trying to escape this murderous mouse, but they encounter all kinds of trials and obstacles to escape the amusement park. “A place to have fun, a place for friends, a place to hunt. The mouse is here,” the video warns.

Jamie Baileysays the film’s director in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that the idea of ​​shooting the scenes was for ‘fun’.

“I mean, it’s Mickey Mouse from Steamboat Willie killing people. It is ridiculous. We followed it and we had fun with it and I think it shows,” he said.
