By chance, the president of Mexico offered her a scholarship almost immediately, and Elżbieta Dzikowska was able to go to a meeting with the Pulitzer Prize-winning Halik. As she recalled in the interview, she had no suspicion that the interview would change her life. – I had a husband in my homeland, Andrzej Dzikowski. And he was a good husband. I always praise him, she emphasized. They had been married for 17 years, Tony Halik had a wife, Pierrette Courtin.
