Danuta Holecka has not been seen on TV screens since December 12. It was then that she hosted the “Pass 20” program for the last time on TVP Info, where she argued very sharply with the politicians of the new government. The former head of the propaganda “Wiadomości” left Telewizja Polska herself before the changes announced by the Coalition on October 15 took effect.

By some, Holecka’s change of employment was ironically called the “transfer of the year”, because TV Republika is a place where former TVP employees were welcomed with open arms. However, no one expected Holecka’s return. According to reports, the station’s website, where you can watch the channel’s broadcast for free, could not withstand the interest from viewers. “The traffic was so high that the website experienced serious glitches for several dozen minutes: it loaded very slowly or did not work at all,” the portal reports. In turn, the broadcast on YouTube was watched by over 20,000 people. viewers encountered no difficulties.

However, the program itself, although substantively similar to the old TVP “Wiadomości”, is far from its predecessor in terms of showiness. The program’s studio is much less spectacular, and only five materials were broadcast in 20 minutes.
However, Holecka allowed herself to do much more on Republika TV than on Telewizja Polska. In the announcement of the material about changes in the functioning of public media entitled “Liquidation as a ‘healing plan’ for the media” directly called the Minister of Culture “Colonel Sienkiewicz”.

The former prime minister called Holecka’s new employer an “oasis of media freedom” and later risked saying that if it were not for the station, Poland might not have learned about the intrusion of a Russian missile into our airspace. At the very end, Holecka made an appeal to new viewers:
