American singer Cher filed a request to become a temporary guardian of her son’s property, stating that he suffers from mental problems and addictions that make him unable to manage his life and property.

Choose Blue Allman (47) is the son of Cher and musician Gregg Allman, to whom she was married between 1975 and 1979.

Cher, whose full name is Cherilyn Sarkisian, appeared in Los Angeles Superior Court to explain that Elijah receives regular payments from a trust in his name. But given his situation and his substance abuse, Mother thinks that all the money is immediately spent on drugs, leaving the man without means for other needs.

instead of that, Allman told the AP agency that he pleads “well, able and of sound mind and body.” They did not specify whether they would oppose the request.

Cher acted like a desperate mother: she was accused of hiring four men to kidnap her son

Meanwhile, the judge scheduled the first hearing for January 2024.

The one currently managing Allman’s estate is his wife Marieangela King, from whom he has been separated but not divorced since 2021. Cher is seeking to void that arrangement, citing a “tumultuous relationship, marked by a cycle of drug addiction and mental health crisis,” and alleging that King is not supportive of your son’s recovery.

Like his parents, Allman is a musician, former singer and guitarist from the band Deadsy.

Guardianship, also known as conservatorship, allows courts to give relatives or others control over someone’s money and sometimes over decisions about their life that the interested parties cannot make because they are not competent.
