Agnieszka Dymecka was a weather forecaster for the popular “Panorama” program on TVP for many years (she even earned the nickname of “the weather girl from Panorama”). She joined the Polish Television team in 1991. She left television in 2006 in favor of radio. You could hear it on Polish Radio, among others. in the program “Summer with the radio”.
Agnieszka Dymecka was a beloved weather forecaster on TVP
Some time later, she appeared on television again. This time, however, not in front of the camera, because she became the head of the weather forecast editorial office at TVP Info. She talked about the background of the decision in an interview with “Angora”.
They asked me to appear in front of the camera, but I said thank you. I decided that this stage of work was already behind me. I preferred building a team
– said Agnieszka Dymecka. It was during her time as manager that the careers of presenters such as Aleksandra Kostka and Ziemowit Pędziwiatr flourished. The viewers greatly appreciated Agnieszka Dymecka’s professionalism. She also enjoyed respect and sympathy from her colleagues.
She could get up at 5:30 to listen to what we were saying and how we were saying it on the air! She was demanding, but often justified! When the illness came, she did not want to be in the center, but appreciated every manifestation of goodness and care. She hoped for a better tomorrow. She believed she had a Guardian Angel! Distanced from the world, often from people… She liked to laugh and that’s how I will remember you!
– Marzena Kawa, the presenter of “Pytania na breakfast”, wrote on Instagram after her death. Sławomir Matczak, also associated with TVP, also remembered his deceased colleague with sadness. “Agnieszka Dymecka, weather presenter on TVP 2 and head of the weather editorial office, passed away after a serious illness. It’s a sad end to the year. She was an excellent friend,” he wrote in 2018 on the X platform (formerly Twitter).
Her body was found by a neighbor
According to media reports, Agnieszka Dymecka died on December 28, 2018, at the age of 51. However, the doctor determined that death most likely occurred the day before. The media reported then that the presenter’s body was discovered by a neighbor. She was supposed to alert the police. The woman decided to look into her apartment right after she heard the disturbing howling of a dog and received a call from the presenter’s worried brother. It later turned out that co-workers also tried to contact Agnieszka Dymecka throughout the holidays. Unfortunately, to no avail.
Agnieszka Dymecka lived alone. After her death, the prosecutor’s office initiated an investigation into unintentional manslaughter, and an autopsy was ordered to, among other things, exclude the involvement of third parties. This is standard procedure when the bodies of people who lived alone are found. The results have not been made public to date. The journalist rests in her family grave at the Bródnowski Cemetery in Warsaw.
