New TVP1 television daily entitled “19:30” debuted on December 21 and permanently replaced the propaganda “Wiadomości”. Wednesday’s edition of the program began with material showing the dispute between the Coalition on October 15 and President Andrzej Duda regarding next year’s budget.

It quoted the words of Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who assured that the PLN 3 billion included in the budget-related act for financing public media would be allocated to pediatric oncology and child psychiatry.
The reporter further stated that “the occupation of the TVP headquarters at Plac Powstańców Warszawy is ongoing, and the National Media Council has announced an alternative president, supported by PiS politicians.” Interestingly, nothing was said about the decision of the Minister of Culture to put TVP, Polish Radio and the Polish Press Agency into liquidation.
Witold Tabaka tried to talk to politicians of all political persuasions on this topic, but PiS MEP Zbigniew Kuźmiuk gave him an unpleasant surprise. The “19:30” reporter approached the politician and they shook hands, but when the journalist introduced himself, he immediately walked away, saying under his breath: “I can’t talk to you…”.

This behavior was rude, but completely expected. admitted that United Right politicians consider the “19:30” reporters to be representatives of the new government and are sometimes harsh towards them. The creators of the program left this shot without comment, but they also decided to show it in the announcement of the most important materials of the day.
