In recent years, under the rule of the “old” TVP (the situation in this matter is dynamic), TVP Info has become a propaganda mouthpiece for the rule of Law and Justice. The experts became far-right publicists associated with magazines and portals subsidized by state-owned companies – “Tygodnik Sieci”, the wPolityce portal, “Gazeta Polska” and others.
The red scare stripes that changed dynamically during the day, reflecting the atmosphere in the studio, became history. The essence from TVP Info was later transferred to the main edition of “Wiadomości” on TVP1. However, for a week, neither the news channel nor the “Wiadomości” program were shown to viewers. “Wiadomości” returned after political changes in management in a completely changed and neutralized formula. It was known that the same fate awaited TVP Info.
TVP Info returns to broadcasting after a week
The shutdown of TVP Info caused an avalanche of events. Some of its employees found a place on the same day, December 20, on TV Republika (a television owned by Spółka Srebrna, owned by the Lech Kaczyński Institute, owned by politicians associated with Law and Justice). – the same programs are created there as in the public media, and the same people are there. They still use the name TVP Info, although the original channel and website have been silent for a week.
Now – at least partially – this is about to change. According to the Wirtualne Media website, TVP Info is to return to the air under the same name next Friday. The new TVP authorities (those recognized by the current government) have not yet managed to regain access to social media that still runs the “old” TVP Info and informs about the fate of the “old” cast.
There is no indication that the dual rule over TVP will soon become a thing of the past. If media rumors are to be believed, the “new” TVP Info will find a place for some of the current employees.
There were about 150 people, almost half of whom were a team that had worked earlier, with Samuel Pereira. There was talk about resuming broadcasting of TVP Info. The name may remain unchanged. According to the announcement, the program could start on Friday evening, but it is difficult to say clearly because work on the studio and the rest of the equipment is in progress. The channel is to be impartial, politicians are to be replaced by experts. Most political programs will disappear, including: “Not enough vision” and the new management does not envisage anything similar – a TVP journalist who wished to remain anonymous and participated in the meeting with the management tells Wirtualne Media.

Meanwhile, the “old” public media authorities do not acknowledge the political decisions that led to their dismissal. The former head of Polish Radio is not giving up (Agnieszka Kamińska allegedly did not sign her resignation, she also filed a motion with the court regarding “unlawful resolutions changing the PR authorities”), the old TVP authorities elected a new “president” (Michael Adamczyk, who previously ran “Wiadomości” ) – .
