The singer Thais Hernandezborn in Sant Boi de Llobregat (Barcelona), died this Tuesday at the age of 35 as a result of an illness, sources from her family have reported.
Born in Sant Boi de Llobregat and raised in Castelldefels, Thais Hernández began her musical career at the age of 20 and has performed on large stages such as the Liceu, the Palau de la Música or the Palau Sant Jordi.
“The flamenco people of Catalonia we are in mourningand we want to express our deep pain and our condolences, especially to her husband,” said the Antonio Mairena de Hospitalet de Llobregat club in a message on social networks.
Hernández has worked with musicians such as the flamenco guitarist Juan Gómez ‘Chicuelo’ or the rumba group Sabor de Gràcia, he combined his artistic career with teaching and taught singing classes at the Institut Flamenc of Barcelona. The farewell ceremony of the young Catalan singer will be held this Wednesday in the L’Hospitalet de Llobregat funeral home.
