There’s a lot of rigor on the set of a Bradley Cooper movie. Actors are not allowed to do this

On the occasion of the promotion of Bradley Cooper’s latest film titled “Maestro”, the director talked about the rules applicable on the sets of his production. It turns out that the actor has quite strict requirements towards his crew.

Some time ago, there was a lot of talk about the alleged discipline of actors while working on the set of “Oppenheimer”. The film crew was to be banned from using the chairs. However, it quickly turned out that these reports were not true, and the actors could relax while sitting during breaks.

This rather strict rule is applied by Bradley Cooper, who believes that chairs negatively affect actors’ productivity while working on the set. The director said in an interview for Variety: “In my career, I learned to be a director directly on the set, not somewhere on the side. For me as an actor, it was a natural transition once I gathered the courage to write scripts and direct. When I’m directing, I don’t watch the footage. There are no chairs on set either. I’ve always hated chairs on set. Your energy drops as soon as you sit in a chair. That’s why there aren’t any.”

The journalist asked the actor what would happen if he played in his film. “On the set of your movie, I would do whatever you told me. I would be your actor,” said Bradley Cooper.

“Maestro” tells the story of conductor and composer Leonard Bernstein. Bradley Cooper himself played the role of the main character. The other roles were played by: Carey Hannah Mulligan, Jeremy Strong, Michael Urie and Maya Hawke. The film was released in Polish cinemas on December 8, 2023.
