These scenes were removed from the “Harry Potter” film series. Not only Draco’s fate could have turned out differently

Although the series of fantasy films about the adventures of Harry Potter and his two friends has been extremely popular for years, few people know that some scenes were cut out at the post-production stage. Here are some examples of plot lines that would undoubtedly help viewers understand the plot and the motivations of some of the characters.

by JK Rowling and the film adaptations based on it today have crowds of loyal fans around the world. Few realize that the story of the three wizards, Hermione and Ron, hides many more secrets than one might expect, and many key scenes that presented the fate of the characters and their actual intentions were removed at the editing stage.

Sensitive Petunia and a changed Draco? You won’t see these scenes in “Harry Potter”

You probably remember the scene from the first part of “Deathly Hallows”, when Harry appears at the house to insinuate that they need to escape from the Death Eaters that threaten them. It was then that Aunt Petunia uttered a sentence that, if it had not been cut out, could have warmed up her image and shed a completely new light on her current behavior and motivations. – You didn’t just lose your mother, I lost a sister – to her nephew in a breaking voice, moments before saying goodbye.

The creators had similar plans for many of Draco Malfoy’s films. In the last part of the series, he was supposed to abandon the beliefs instilled in him by his parents, thus joining Potter’s team in the fight against Voldemort. The scene in which the supposedly dead Harry suddenly jumps out of Hagrid’s arms was supposed to be the first moment of his protest against the Dark Lord’s team and a significant plot twist. He was supposed to throw his wand to the wizard so that he could defend himself against the attacks. Ultimately, however, this vision was abandoned.

The Hogwarts janitor was hiding a secret? This thread was completely omitted in the film

His close relationship with Dumbledore turned out to be extremely crucial for the entire history of Harry Potter. This is especially visible in “Half-Blood Prince”, where together they try to find the Horcruxes in which Voldemort hid parts of his soul. The last point of their journey was to get a medallion hidden in a cave. After numerous perturbations and a fierce fight, they finally achieve their goal. Leaving a place saturated with black magic, the young wizard turns to his mentor, asking him not to be afraid. “I’m not worried, Harry.” I’m with you, the professor said then. It was this scene that was removed during the editing stage, although just thinking about it sends shivers down your spine.

A character that still arouses curiosity, but the filmmakers did not devote much screen time to him, is the janitor of Hogwarts. Argus Filch came from a family of wizards, but he did not have magical powers, which was to some extent developed in “The Chamber of Secrets”. As Harry and he are heading to their room, after a crazy car journey, they get a letter addressed to a school employee who is disliked by the students. Then they realized that the sender was a specialized facility where they were educated beyond magical personas. He was clearly dissatisfied when he handed the envelope to Filch, and he had them in his sights ever since. However, the creators decided to omit this thread, so those who have not read the books have no idea why the janitor had such an aversion to them.
