Since 2010, Dr. Katia Murrieta a musical magazine with which she tries to remember and perpetuate the customs and traditions of our city, on the occasion of the Christmas and New Year holidays. That’s why it’s called work Yesterday’s end-of-year celebrations in GuayaquilIt is to say, It is a journey through time, back to the 1950s.
The idea, says the author who directs and produces it, is to save the spiritual form in which these celebrations were held, which began in the month of December with the Advent, a phase when families of previous generations prepared to receive Jesus; the harbor, commemorating the several stations Joseph and Mary had to make to ask for shelter before arriving in Bethlehem; the way they are made cribs and the Christmas tree was decorated, the arrival of Santa Claus and finally the burning of the old year.

The work is divided into three parts, performed consecutively, without interruption, and as the author narrates the events, they are reproduced on stage with a combination of light, sound and special effects.
