You can now see the trailer of the crime series “Forst” based on the novel by Remigiusz Mróz online. Borys Szyc plays the main role of the titular commissioner, Wiktor Forst.

Borys Szyc recently starred in the series “Warszawianka” based on the script by Jakub Żulczyk. The role was appreciated by critics and praised many times in reviews of the work. The actor will soon return in another series role.

Forst. When is the premiere of the new Netflix series with Borys Szyc?

This time he will play the role of Wiktor Forst, a commissioner who tries to solve the mystery of brutal murders in the Tatra Mountains. Going against the procedures, with the help of journalist Olga Szrebska (Zuzanna Saporznikow), he discovers a conspiracy with roots dating back to World War II.

The series is based on the motifs of a novel by one of the most widely read Polish writers, Remigiusz Mróz. We’re talking about the books “Exposure” and “Przewierzenie”. Apart from Szyc, the cast also included Andrzej Bienias, Kamilla Baar, Aleksandra Grabowska, Szymon Wróblewski, Maciej Pesta, Michał Suwada, Tomasz Pogoń, Artur Barciś and Małgorzata Hajewska-Krzysztofik. The premiere of the series is announced on January 11, 2024. The production will be available to watch on Netflix.

The director of the series is Daniel Jaroszek, winner of the Audience Award at the Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdynia and four Eagles for his feature debut “Johnny”. The script was written by Agata Malesińska (“Into the Forest”, “The Girl and the Cosmonaut”) and Jacek Markiewicz.

As we read in the series announcement, “Forst; is another bold project of Netflix, which has already produced over 30 Polish films and series. Last year alone, it allocated PLN 400 million for local productions.”
