Pursuant to the new regulations in force from December 15, which tightened the existing restrictions, fully vaccinated persons were to be exempted from the limits in most institutions. However, according to the findings, the restrictions will be much stricter than those announced earlier by the government.
Changes from December 15: COVID forced the introduction of new restrictions
, will primarily affect changes to the existing limits:
- 75 percent occupancy in public transport,
- 30 percent occupancy by unvaccinated persons in restaurants, bars and hotels, cinemas, theaters, sports and religious facilities. Increasing the limit possible after verifying the vaccinated persons,
- closure of clubs, discos and places for dancing. The exception will be New Year’s Eve, during which the limit of up to max. 100 people.
However, the published ordinance contained a provision that in the most crowded establishments before Christmas, the restrictions are to apply to everyone without exception. It turns out that there are more surprises here.
The restrictions from 15/12/2021 will also apply to the vaccinated?
The regulations apply to all points of sale, except for points of sale and postal services. Inaccuracies in this topic were noticed by the trainee attorney-at-law Iga Jastrowicz:
First, I noticed an inaccuracy on government websites regarding the inclusion of vaccinated people in the limits in shops and shopping malls. The information on the biznes.gov.pl website shows that the vaccinated persons do not count towards the limits in shops, while on the government website for trade there is no such information. That is why I began to analyze the regulation carefully, and it turns out that it forgets to exclude vaccinated persons from the limits on commercial establishments.
New restrictions from 12/15/2021 may result in long queues
The pre-holiday period, when you notice increased traffic in retail outlets, may turn out to be troublesome. The above interpretation shows that the store will be able to stay up to 30 percent. the number of clients regardless of vaccination, which will result in long lines. The Ministry of Health assures that there is nothing to be afraid of, taking into account that although the provision directly pointing to it is also missing in the regulation.
