The ending year was great for Polish artists. Their work has never been so popular, and at the same time it is of world class quality. As it turns out, foreign listeners also noticed it. Spotify has just shared a list of the most frequently played Polish artists and songs outside our country.
Polish artists are also popular abroad. Surprises at the top
Before we move on to the stars of the highest caliber, we will pay attention to artists who placed high in the rankings, but are not necessarily known to the wider audience. We are talking about musicians such as kets4eki, Nosgov, hubithekid, TWISTED and m3wk4, who are producers of folk music, but also hyperpop, sigilcore and krushclub.
Moreover, local dance music producers, such as ConKi, Rnbstylerz and EMDI, took high positions in the charts. Not to be false, the first producer currently has over 2.7 million monthly listeners on the platform, and the second performer has over 1.7 million listeners.
The Polish representatives at the Eurovision Song Contest were also a discovery for foreign listeners; in 2023 – Blanka and Jann, a participant of the previous edition and at the same time a member of the Spotify RADAR program in 2022, won the hearts of music fans from outside Poland in the summer.
The ranking of the most frequently listened to Polish artists abroad also included the cream of Polish pop, i.e. Sanah and Dawid Podsiadło. The latter also has its song on the list of the most frequently listened to Polish songs abroad. This is the song “Let You Down”, which was featured on the soundtrack to the Netflix series “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners”. She placed seventh.
