Due to his dismissal from his position in 2018, Zakrocki filed a lawsuit in the Labor Court. The judge, in turn, ruled in favor of the journalist, finding that he should not be released. Telewizja Polska appealed against the court’s decision, but the court upheld the verdict, ordering Zakrocki’s reinstatement. According to reports from Wirtualne Media, the final decision in this case was made on December 15, 2023 in the District Court in Warsaw. The portal also asked Maciej Zakrocki for comment.
The journalist admitted that although he was satisfied with the verdict, he did not know what to do in the situation. “After the district court’s verdict, in a conversation with my colleagues, I said that I would return to TVP and would immediately be fired on my own terms. I couldn’t imagine working for this TV station. Today, however, I have a dilemma… I have to obey the court’s judgment and report to work within 7 days. “I don’t know what I will find there,” he said.
