Taco Hemingway broke another record. He is the first Pole with such a high result!

Taco Hemingway started recording in 2011, but he gained great fame four years later when he released the EP “Umowa opowiedz”, which included the song “Next station”. The song became a kind of viral and people eagerly listened to the somewhat critical but true conclusions about life in the capital of Poland.

From that moment on, Taco Hemingway is the undisputed leader when it comes to popularity, but also quality in Polish rap. In 2021, when he already had six mini-albums, five studio albums and the successful TACONAFIDE project, the artist managed to exceed the one billion listens mark on the Spotify streaming service.

He was then the first Pole to achieve this. It’s the same now, because he became the first Polish artist to exceed the two billion plays mark on Spotify. The release of a new album entitled “1-800-OŚWIECENIE”, which debuted in September this year and immediately became a hit on the Internet.

On the Spotify platform, the rapper then achieved two records – he was the most streamed artist during the day, and the album was the most streamed album during the day. Moreover, during the year the album “club2020” by the Polish hip-hop supergroup of the same name was very eagerly listened to, from which it comes, among others, song “Malibu Barbie”. All this also meant that Taco Hemingway ultimately became the most listened to Polish musician on Spotify.

Next year, Taco Hemingway will go on tour promoting his new album. As part of the “1-800-TOUR” scheduled for May and June, the rapper will visit Katowice, Poznań, Gdańsk, Wrocław, Kraków and Warsaw. Many guests will appear at his side during his concerts, including: Dawid Podsiad³o, Edyta Bartosiewicz and Grzegorz Turnau and rappers Oki, Otsochodzi and Bedoes 2115.
