“Süddeutsche Zeitung” is a German-wide center-left daily published in Munich. The change of power in Poland is widely described abroad, but so far it has been written about mainly in purely political terms. The above-mentioned daily decided to take a look at the state of public media in Poland and present the profile of Danuta Holecka, who, after Jacek Kurski took over the helm of TVP, became the face of the main television daily “Wiadomości”.

She recalled a specific interview with Jarosław Kaczyński, in which a national media employee praised the leader of Law and Justice for his “conscientious election campaign.”
The Munich daily also drew attention to her imminent departure from Telewizja Polska. He described her last appearance on the air in the “Miwała 20” program on TVP Info, while everyone expected to see her half an hour earlier in TVP1’s “Wiadomości”. “During her last appearance on TVP on Tuesday evening, she did not hide her political sympathies,” he writes.

The “Wiadomości” star did not refrain from attacking the coalition and compared the shameful behavior of the Confederation MP to the protest of Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus from the Left, who entered the church with a banner to protest against the then-notorious pedophilia scandal.
