In the latest interview with the band’s leader, Damiano David, he admitted that although he has no plans to leave Mansekin yet, he does not rule out such a scenario in the future. He emphasized, however, that each situation has both its advantages and disadvantages, and even if he ever decides to focus on a solo career, he will not forget how he gained popularity and what was his ticket to the music industry. – I think an artist should always try new things and never, never stay in a certain comfort zone. When something becomes too comfortable, it is not suitable. You always have to challenge yourself. But being alone scares me a bit in this respect, he said.
At the same time, he admitted that he felt very close to the other members of Maneskin and, in a sense, felt responsible for them. Despite this, he does not hide the fact that friendly ties do not help cooperation at all, because it is usually marked by many difficulties and compromises are inevitable. Thus, he emphasized that, in his opinion, every musician should be self-employed at least for some time, because only in this way can he fully develop his potential. – Let’s put ourselves in this uncomfortable situation, because it is the only environment in which we can develop. And if I mature, my team can develop too. If I stop developing, my team will stop developing, Damiano commented.
