It sometimes happens that gold fittings become covered with deposits that are difficult to remove. Dark spots and discolorations look unsightly, and you can easily get rid of them with gentle home remedies. However, it is worth remembering that fittings can be extremely delicate, so before using a new cleaning agent, it is a good idea to test it. Apply the preparation to a small, invisible part and leave for a few moments. If no disturbing traces appear after washing, you can safely use the agent to clean all gold fittings.

Mix with water to a thick paste, then massage it gently into the surface using a microfiber cloth. Leave the agent for a few minutes and then wash it off with a damp sponge. Afterwards, simply polish the gold fittings with a soft cloth.

In addition to baking soda paste, you can also use another reliable agent that will also quickly deal with stubborn scale. Usually, one reaches for the popular spirit vinegar, but not everyone tolerates its specific, strong vinegar. So if you want to use an equally effective agent that does not emit a characteristic odor, use citric acid. It costs pennies, but it will perfectly deal with stains on gold fittings. Combine a glass of warm water with two teaspoons of citric acid and mix the ingredients thoroughly. Pour the prepared liquid into a spray bottle, spray it on the battery and wipe it thoroughly with a sponge. There will be no trace of stone and dirt.
