Many people wait until the last minute to buy gifts. This means that December is a difficult month for many families for the household budget. Christmas shopping combined with gifts can seriously damage your wallet. Can this be avoided? We decided to check how much we will pay for some products often bought for Christmas today and how much they cost a few weeks ago.
Are Christmas gifts cheaper in November or December? The differences are considerable
An example is the board game “Get on the Train: The First Journey”, which is an introduction to the adventures of this series and at the same time a simpler version of the bestseller, so a good gift idea for the youngest. The game on December 2 cost PLN 109.91. Today, in the same store, a board game costs PLN 118.89. As we read on , the cheapest version available on the market costs PLN 116.89. However, this is not the only example.

“A Year in the Forest. Squirrel and Rook” is a puzzle game intended not only for the youngest players. The task of those taking part in the game is to fill the pantries before the arrival of winter. On the website of the “Nasza Księgarnia” publishing house, the game costs PLN 79.99. According to the data, today the cheapest you can buy it is PLN 50.20. In November, it was available for PLN 48.99.

When to buy gifts? A few weeks and the price difference is impressive
Christmas gifts are not only toys and games, but also gifts for the elderly. Example? Aeroccino 4 milk frother, which can be perfect for a coffee lover. On November 27, i.e. during the Black Friday promotion period, you had to pay PLN 364.40 for a frother and a set of 50 discounted coffee capsules.

Today, the frother itself costs PLN 399 in the official store. The previous version of this product costs PLN 339. But to this price you would also have to add the cost of 50 coffees, i.e. approximately PLN 175. This means that today the price of a similar set would be much higher than in November and would amount to approximately PLN 574. In total, we managed to save as much as PLN 217.79 on the gifts listed here.
When is the best time to buy Christmas gifts? This way you will save a lot
So you can see that not only board games are definitely cheaper in the period before. By purchasing them a few weeks before Christmas Eve, you can save money. It is also a good idea to hunt for promotions, e.g. on Black Friday. At the end of November, you can find many devices and products at a lower price that will make good Christmas gifts. By buying them in November or at the beginning of December, you can gain a lot.
