We’re getting closer to the premiere of “Sami our own. The beginning”! There is already a trailer for the production

A trailer for the prequel to one of the most popular Polish trilogies about the important families of Kargul and Pawlak has appeared online. The film “Sami swoi. Popocz±tek” will appear in cinemas in February 2024. There is a good chance that fans of Chêciñski’s films will be very satisfied after the screening.

In the film, produced by Artur Żmijewski, we go back to pre-war times, when the Karguls and Pawlaks led a peaceful life in the Eastern Borderlands. We will learn about their childhood and youth, which had a great impact on what happened later.

“Sami swoi” is back! In February we will find out where it all started

The author of the prequel script, similarly to the famous trilogy, is Andrzej Mularczyk. However, he is not the only person who had the opportunity to work on all productions about the feuding family. The second such person is Anna Dymna, who in the latest installment plays her great-aunt.

It was in ’73. It was my first role after college. I played Ania Pawlaczka. And now suddenly I got an offer to play such an episode here. I don’t have time to take on such roles, but then I found out that the script was written by Andrzej Mularczyk and I was very friends with him. And I thought it would be cool – said the actress on the set.

The main roles of the legendary heroes in the younger version are played by Adam Bobik and Karol Dziuba. Next to them, Paulina Gałązka, Weronika Humaj, Zbigniew Zamachowski, Katarzyna Krzanowska, Mirosław Baka, Wojtek Malajkat, Janusz Chabior, Adam Ferency and the previously mentioned Anna Dymna will appear on cinema screens.

The script of the film “Sami swoi. Popocztek” was based on the book “Everyone lives as they know how” by Andrzej Mularczyk. He wrote scripts for films that became cult films. The inspiration for the trilogy and its prequel, which will soon be released in cinemas, were real events. The prototype of the character of Kazimierz Pawlak was Andrzej Mularczyk’s uncle. The cinema premiere is scheduled for February 16, 2024.
