Are you already preparing your home for the holidays? In addition to numerous decorations, we often wonder what dishes to serve at this special time. It turns out that some people had already bought some time earlier and it ended up in the freezer. Unfortunately, it may happen that in the heat of the moment you forget about it. Although it may seem too late to defrost, you can do it quickly and effectively. How? All it takes is a clever trick.

How to defrost chicken quickly? You don’t need too much time

This method is very quick and does not require many actions. Thanks to it, the chicken will not lose its taste. What should I do? All you need to do is take a large bag in which you can fit everything. Close it and then put it in a bowl or sink filled with cool water – slightly warmer than the temperature of the meat. Once the water is warm, replace the liquid regularly (about every 30 minutes). Thanks to this, the meat will be defrosted much faster than in the case of the traditional method.

How to defrost meat quickly? Choose an oven or microwave

You can also quickly defrost chicken meat using the oven. All you need to do is heat it to a temperature between 50 and 80 degrees Celsius and wrap the product in aluminum foil or a baking bag. Then put it in an ovenproof dish and put it in the oven. Turn the meat from time to time, but be careful not to burn yourself. This method will take you about half an hour or more – it all depends on how much meat you have to defrost. After defrosting, immediately season the chicken and start thermal processing. Do you have a microwave with a defrost function and a small amount of meat? You can use it, but first put the chicken in a large, deep plate – this will prevent the water from leaking out of the dish after defrosting. The whole thing should take 15 to 30 minutes.
