The series “Kasia and Tomek” was broadcast in the years 2002-2004 and tells the story of a couple who, despite a 7-year relationship, still have not decided to get married. Although they had many differences – temperaments, lifestyles, they were united by great love. The production enjoyed great interest from viewers, although “only” 100 episodes were produced. After years of questions from fans of the series whether there will be a continuation, they finally have reasons to be happy. New opening. Brodzik and Wilczak will be missing
Dorota Kośmicka-Gacke, the producer of the remake, confirmed on Plotek.pl that casting for the series is currently underway. This means that we will get to know a completely new story of the couple, unrelated to the fate of the duo played by Joanna Brodzik and Paweł Wilczak. Therefore, we already know that we will no longer see them as Kasia and Tomek in the series.
“It will be the same format, but with a new cast. It consists in the fact that we only see two characters, and we see all the others, sometimes from the back and sometimes from the side […] We already have such series as “Czterdziestolatka” or “Rodzinka.pl”. After “Family”, it would be difficult to enter with another family, only the “Kasia and Tomek” version. I think it’s a format that involves two young people getting to know each other who have just moved in together and are just married. A young viewer, and this is the target of this series, wants to see himself on the screen. For this reason, we decided that we would make a remake and a new opening,” said the producer of “Kasia i Tomek”.
The plot of the cult “Kasia and Tomek” focused on a couple who, after many years of relationship, decide to live together. Their best friends are Jacek and Ania, and in the last episode of the series they stand at the altar. However, we do not find out whether Kasia says the words “yes”, because the seance ends just before this moment, and the bride herself starts laughing and shaking her head. A common element of the production were joint visits to Albert’s psychologist, during which they talked about their relationship.
Love on and off screen. They create a successful relationship
Interestingly, the actors playing the main roles were also united in love in their private lives. The couple met on the set of “Kasia and Tomek” and until the end of work on the series they hid their unique bond. Only after the filming had finished did they officially announce their relationship. They are still together and have two children.
