Menstruation is something completely natural. Some women go through it without any symptoms, others writhe in pain and are unable to function. There is more and more talk about menstrual leave, but it is still a controversial topic that arouses a lot of emotions. Marta Lech-Maciejewska had to deal with various comments. Some of them, as she herself admitted, are beyond criticism.
The comments that followed were extreme. Of course, most of them were positive, but there were also some that made our heads spin
– says Marta.
One comment particularly stuck in her mind. – I will quote one, although it is very obscene. It read: “If menstrual leave is for women, then masturbation leave for men?” Comments below criticism – she added. And how did its employees react? It turns out that the majority appreciated the opportunity to take menstrual leave, but admitted that they were unlikely to use it because they did not feel the need.
