Żak’s musical career began in 1994, when she recorded the album “Młynarski Jazz” in cooperation with Wojciech Młynarski. The musical game show, based on the American format “Name That Tune”, quickly gained popularity, and subsequent episodes attracted millions of viewers who followed with interest the participants’ struggles in each stage of the quiz. However, these were not easy at all.
The basic rule of the game was to guess the title and author of the song after just a few sounds. Katarzyna Żak was the first vocalist of the program and for 3 years, often in a duet with the host and the JJ Combo band, she sang the songs recognized by the contestants.
