“Monty Python and the Holy Grail” has been among the best comedies in the history of cinema for years. On the occasion of the 48 and 1/2 anniversary of the film’s premiere, special screenings were prepared for fans. The production returned to American cinema screens and attracted crowds.

The group was created in the late 1960s by six British comedians: Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin. Their series “Monty Python’s Flying Circus” gave birth to a legend and two films that are still considered cult: “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” from 1975 and “Life of Brian” from 1979.

“Monty Python and the Holy Grail” was the first full-length “real production”, although not the first to be released on screens. In 1971, four years earlier, “And now for something completely different” was presented on the big screen, which was a collection of re-recorded sketches known from “The Flying Circus…”. For over 48 years, “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” has reigned supreme in the rankings of the best comedies and most cult films. In 2003, after it was not included in the list of cult films, he had to explain himself to readers.

Missing the ‘Grail’ was more difficult than cutting down a huge tree in the forest with… a herring

– they emphasized, admitting their mistake. There are many fans of the production directed by Terry Jones and Terry Gilliam all over the world.

On the occasion of the “48 and 1/2 anniversary”, with the group’s typical humor, special screenings were prepared for them in cinemas. The interest was so great that the number of shows was increased. “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” was shown from noon until late in the evening on December 3 and 6, and tickets for the shows on Sunday, December 3 were completely sold out. And there are many suggestions to repeat the event during the holidays, but this time with “Life of Brian”.
